“Uncle John came to U.S. first – a farmer sent him passage money in ret. [return] for working for him – John sent Frank money – he sent money to his sisters Selma + Jenny.  Frank worked in a bakery, as did S + J – near N. [North] side [of Chicago].

“Amanda married widower, not good to her – buried in Hamneda.  Ida went to Stholm [Stockholm] + married “well” – Magnussons raised foster dau. (Olga) + also 2 boys at home.  J + S worked for a rich farmer in Sw — all help (m + f) slept in one big rm.  (Boys were illeg.)”

[Page 2.] “Re: Aunt Amanda (Dad’s sister) cared for both parents [Peter Gustaf Magnusson and Ingrid Christina Johansdotter] – she was the oldest.  After they died, she married a widower who had a son.  She is buried in Hamneda, next to her mo. [mother] + fa. [father]
